2025 Budget Sessions Week 2

Local budgets can be confusing and complicated, but this process that started 2 weeks ago does not have to be this way.  

The Monroe County annual budget is a lot, and to help organize thinking for my duties as your elected official, I put together the list below from the second week of the 2025 Budget Hearings. The first week is here.

These budgets are for you:

  • First, these are your dollars, invested in public goods.

  • Second, it helps to have a bird’s eye view of the process.

  • Third, it helps to have everything in one place below instead of needing to click on various calendar dates or websites.

  • Mark your calendar, we scheduled the 2025 Budget Public Hearing for October 8, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Come let us know how we are doing and make suggestions on any item below or in general. We need your input on how to invest in our shared values.
