Our community has a lot to offer, but too often historically marginalized communities find themselves still at a disadvantage. We have a lot to learn and much to do. See the Plan.

  • Create the Monroe County Anti-Racism Task force, charged with creating the Monroe County Anti-Racism Strategic Plan in 12 months from formation. 

  • Work across Monroe County Commissions and with staff to create a S.M.A.R.T. plan to celebrate racial and cultural holidays in meaningful ways starting in 2025. 

  • Contract with a local organization who can follow up to conduct a Systems-wide Cultural Competency Assessment, and share longitudinal data comparing and contrasting the 2021 data (gathered by The Guardian, LLC) with new data. 

  • Empower the Monroe County Women’s Commission to generate an annual report with policy recommendations.
