5 Reasons Jacob Schwartz Impresses
Jacob Schwartz (follow him on Twitter @jschwartz_41) is a Senior at IU and a leader who is a rising star in the Indiana Democratic Party. Chances are, though, that you don’t know him, as COVID has forced us all indoors. Here are five (5) reasons you should be impressed:
Campaign Manager for the Committee to Elect Peter Iversen. Jacob Schwartz oversees all aspects of this local campaign. He works directly with Peter and other team members to ensure comms, field, fundraising, and other elements are moving forward and utilizing best practices. In addition to his work with this campaign, Jacob also volunteers with numerous other campaigns including Matt Fye for Congress and Ruben Marté for Monroe County Sheriff.
Voter Registration Director with IU Dems Jacob Schwartz continues to play instrumental roles on the IU Campus to register voters and ensuring that turnout in elections continues an upward trend. You can find him standing under the iconic red clocks registering voters, and he is also working to link student activists to campaigns for office.
Precinct Vice Chair with the Monroe County Democratic Party Jacob Schwartz represents a young, vibrant future for precinct chairs. He works hard to ensure that the voters in his district stay informed and active. This also means that in certain circumstances he votes in Caucuses.
The US Army Reserves Jacob Schwartz serves Indiana by volunteering with the Army Reserves. One weekend a month, he is unavailable for canvassing shifts, as he is running drills to keep our state and nation safe.
President of the Tae Kwon Do Club at IU Like many leaders, Jacob Schwartz finds time for his passion. He not only leads the club sport at IU, but he also teaches courses in the gymnasiums at the School of Public Health-Bloomington. Jacob is a brown belt.
